Rockin' Robin has two experienced luthiers who provide expert repair services for our customers. We also have an amp repair technician that works off site.
Dave Hazlett
Dave has been doing repair and luthier work for 35 years with artists from Billy Gibbons to Eric Clapton. He covers a wide range of string instruments from mandolins, banjos, ukuleles, basses, guitars and many others doing everything from set ups to complete restorations. He maintains that a well adjusted instrument not only plays easier and in better tune but sounds much better. He also has a great sense of humor and takes the time to do it right to give each person the best results possible and enjoys a challenge!
Clancey Compton
Clancey graduated from Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery in 2013. He completed an apprenticeship under master luthier Steve Hartz in Nacogdoches, Texas. He specializes in acoustic string instruments such as banjos, mandolins, and of course, guitars! He does everything from the basic restring to full restorations. He has worked with bands such as Father John Misty, The Mavericks, and Khruangbin.
